How to Check If Someone Else Is Accessing Your Facebook Account

Hope everyone is well. I'm doing fine too. Today, I'm back with a new trick for you. So, let's get started! Today, we'll discuss Facebook security. If someone gains unauthorized access to your account, it's important to take immediate action. Otherwise, the account could be completely taken over by the hackers. But how can you tell if someone has accessed your ID? Today's trick is all about that.

Facebook provides a good way to find out if someone has accessed your account. You can see which devices have logged into your account. Follow the steps below to check the active sessions of your account:

➤ Log in to your account.

➤ Click the Profile icon on the upper right side.

➤ Select Settings & Privacy > Settings.

➤ Click on Password and Security.

➤ Under Password and Security, click on 'Where You're Logged In.

➤ Select your account. You'll see the logged-in devices. Here, you can view the accessed devices and locations in the account.

Also, if you receive any notifications of unrecognized logins, click 'Review Devices' to check. Look at the list to see if there's a device you don't recognize or a location that's unfamiliar.

If you find any suspicious devices, take necessary measures. Your first step should be to remove the suspicious device's access. After removing the access, change your password and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for added security.

You can also set up alerts for any stranger login attempts. Your last task will be to log out of all other devices. To do this:

➤ Go back to the Password and Security page.

➤ Select 'Where You're Logged In.'

➤ Click on 'Select Devices to Log Out.'

➤ Click 'Select All' and then click the Log Out button.

Remember, logging out won't prevent someone from logging back in if they know your password. So, after deleting the suspicious access, immediately change your password. To set a new password, you'll need to provide your old password. After changing the password, enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for strong security.

By adding 2FA, you can secure your account using text messages, a security key, or an authentication app. To add 2FA:

➤ Return to the Password and Security page.

➤ Select the account by clicking on Two-Factor Authentication.

➤ Enter your password.

➤ Choose one of the three available options.

Next, go back to the Password and Security page and click on Login Alerts. Select one or two alert options to stay informed.

Finally, log out of all other devices except the one you're currently using:

➤ Go back to the Password and Security page.

➤ Select the account by clicking 'Where You're Logged In.'

➤ Click on 'Select Devices to Log Out.'

➤ Click 'Select All' and then click the Log Out button.

If your account is hacked, take action immediately. This is important because a hacked account can put your privacy at risk. Hackers could even use malware to send messages to your friends. A hacked social media account could cause serious problems, so be careful online. Never use the same password on different websites, and always enable 2FA if available.
